New blog! (With Fixed the Link)

I started a new blog at Tumblr.com. The site is http://spikedpunch.tumblr.com/. I don't know if I will stick with it but I am trying it out. I like the design aspect and the easy to use interface more than blogger. Go check it out.

Diving Adventures!

Sarah Grace, Bridget and I went dumpster diving at Trader Joe's over the weekend. I am posting about it because I still can't believe how much food we actually got. Here is the list:

20 loafs of bread (various types and sizes)
around 80 bananas!!!
1 container of strawberries
2 bags of oranges
5 blocks of cheese
10 frozen chicken dinners (a little scared of those, not going to lie)
4 vegan frozen dinners
2 watermelons
2 tins of peppermint bark
4 gourmet cookies containers
1 container of Hummus

Stinking Amazing and extremely disturbing how much perfectly good food is thrown away. Most of it seemed to be thrown away becuase of its sell by date was nearing but the fruit was in very good conidition. The bananas had a little brown on them.

Hatching

So I am in a drawing class at Kent currently and we are just getting into hatching and cross hatching, which I adore! I am pumped to continue to study art but just drawing objects is boring although very important. Shading is soothing to me. I could do it for hours and not even know what happened once I stopped or where my day went. My prof Lori, who I've had before, always tells me I need to loosen up. My drawing (and paintings) are very tight and controlled. So this evening I am going to begin pursuing a more loose style of work. Here are some drawings I found online today:

I wonder if his comment makes sense to him? The last line "By breaking things, you can form a matchless piece of art, beauty and strength" confuses me. Broken things are unique and matchless but what do they have to do with strength? Is spontaneously changing something from its original form to a matchless form a piece of art. Is the action or the outcome the art? Maybe both, maybe...

Conan!!

Well Conan is moving to the 11:30 slot now which is somewhat exciting but also kind of sad. I always liked knowing that if I am bored later at night I could be constantly entertained by that beautiful man. Now if I want to see him I need to plan my night around it. Bah to hell with my complaining! On with the clips!!
